12-14-06 Vancouver Airport

So I've fallen off the "one post per day" pace a bit in the past two weeks. Working full days while dealing with jet-lag during my time in Hong Kong and China left little time or energy to sketch and post. Fortunately I am taking some time off from work to visit with my family and hang out with my Niece for the holidays. I should be able to get back on track with more regular posts.

This one is from my layover in Vancouver while on my way home from HK. At first I found this sketch a daunting but the more I worked on it the more I liked it. I had plenty of time to work on this one, we were in the Vancouver International Airport for well over two hours. We stopped to let off some travelers and refuel but while on the ground the mechanics discovered a part that needed to be replaced before we could continue to NYC. Luckily they were able to find the part and send us on our way soon enough. The folks at the airline were nice enough to serve mini sandwiches, orange juice and oatmeal raisin cookies to keep us fat and happy while we waited.
