subway sleeping

I'm just trying to get back to making and posting drawings on a regular basis. The left side was drawn on the subway ride in this morning. On the right is a blind contour drawing for just a minute ago.

Figure Drawing - 2 weeks in a row

I made it to figure drawing for the second week running. I had a good start with the short poses but after the first longer pose I wasn't really feeling that great. I was drawing with graphite up until that point so I decided to switch to pen and work on some semi-blind contour drawings. This was the first attempt and it worked in that it got me drawing again without worrying too much about what the actual drawing was looking like.

Something about the one one the left catches my eye.

Self Portrait in the Window

This is just a semi-blind contour drawing that I made of myself. I drew from the reflection in a window after it was dark outside. The window had a double layer of glass which caused a double reflection making it difficult to see detail.

I like how my head is sorta stretched out vertically, like a bobble head doll.
